Colorectal Cancer Screening Services

Fox Chase screens for breast, colorectal, lung, prostate and skin cancers, as well as for Barrett’s Esophagus, a precancerous condition that arises in the lining of the esophagus.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable types of cancer. Almost 90 percent of patients can survive colorectal cancer when it’s caught early through screening. Our gastroenterologists are experienced at performing high-quality colonoscopies. Fox Chase offers Open Access Endoscopy services for referring physicians to expedite scheduling routine screening procedures, and the Philadelphia area’s broadest array of endoscopic techniques. And, when conditions make a standard colonoscopy risky, Fox Chase Diagnostic Imaging can step in with CT Colonography, a new way to examine the colon without requiring an anesthetic.

Risk Assessment and Genetic Testing
Fox Chase offers a Risk Assessment Program for individuals and families at risk for cancer and those with cancer—including cancers of the breast, ovaries, prostate, skin and colon. Our team of physicians, nurses and genetic counselors provides clinical and genetic evaluation and testing, screening and cancer risk-reduction services.
