PHILADELPHIA (August 10, 2023) — Sanjeevani Arora, PhD, an Assistant Professor in the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has received a grant of $752,000 from the Department of Defense to study racial disparities in rectal cancer survival. This topic is of particular importance to the DOD because nearly one-third of active-duty service personnel are members of a racial/ethnic minority group that could be affected by such disparities.

PHILADELPHIA (August 9, 2023) — Sanjay S. Reddy, MD, FACS, an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has received an Investigator Initiated Clinical Trial grant from Fox Chase’s Office of Sponsored Research to study the impact of diet and lifestyle factors on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, or PDAC, the most common form of pancreatic cancer.

PHILADELPHIA (August 8, 2023) — A new study led by Igor Astsaturov, MD, PhD, Co-Director of the Marvin & Concetta Greenberg Pancreatic Cancer Institute at Fox Chase Cancer Center, demonstrates two key components necessary for a new drug candidate, LP-184, to effectively treat pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The findings were published today in Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.
