PHILADELPHIA (March 18, 2024) — Judy Loc, BSN, RN, could not make it to work on January 11, 2024, the day her son, Tyler Loc, BSN, RN, received his DAISY Award at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was home recovering from COVID-19, but she knew full well the mix of pride and appreciation of recognition that comes from receiving a DAISY Award, having won the award herself the previous January.

PHILADELPHIA (March 18, 2024) — Scientists at the Fels Cancer Institute for Personalized Medicine and the Department of Cancer and Cellular Biology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Fox Chase Cancer Center have developed a novel therapeutic strategy that attacks and destroys leukemia clones, an approach that could potentially prevent patients from relapsing after treatment.

The annual event brings research leaders together to explore the latest discoveries that will assist in bringing epigenetics from the lab to patients.

PHILADELPHIA (February 29, 2024) — While sociodemographic, clinical, and pathological factors may affect racial and ethnic disparities in outcomes of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer, non-Hispanic Black patients consistently saw less favorable treatment outcomes independent of those factors, according to a study from researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center published today.
