Since kindergarten I have always wanted to be a nurse. My Grandmother and my Aunt had careers in nursing. I also watched my Mom study to become a Medical Assistant when I was in grade school. Seeing the passion, they had to care for patients solidified my pursuit of a nursing career. I have been an Oncology Nurse for over 20 years.

My treatment philosophy is to care for my patients as I would want my family to be treated. A new cancer diagnosis is an extremely difficult time in a patient’s life. It’s a life altering experience and I want to make it as easy as possible on my patients.

Nurse Navigation has been extremely rewarding. We reach out to the patients and are there to listen and answer questions they may have. We provide education, resources, identify any barriers and make referrals as needed. We review their histories and gather the information for the patients’ first appointment. We let them know what to expect prior to the appointment, so they are well prepared for their visit. Every patient I speak with has my contact information in case they have any questions down the road.

I am so thankful to be part of the Fox Chase GYN oncology group. We work as a team and care for the patients to the best of our ability. I feel as though Fox Chase is part of my family.
