Bladder Cancer Patient Stories

I am 42 years old and live in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, with my husband and our two daughters. I came to Philly from Detroit for graduate school at Drexel’s Dornsife School of Public Health, met my husband the week I arrived, and never left. That was nearly 20 years ago. Today, I work as a Senior Program Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

I have always lived a steady and hardworking life.

In January 2024 I began noticing blood in my urine that would go away for a while and then come back.

Ten years ago, I figured I was the healthiest guy around.

I’ve been blessed with good health my entire life and retired in 2016 from a career in manufacturing and sales management. During my retirement, I went in a different direction and wrote two novels.
