About

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Treatment Philosophy

I started my career in medicine as a paramedic and soon after decided to enroll in nursing school. I graduated in 1997 from Gwynedd Mercy College with an associate’s degree in nursing. My nursing career began as an Emergency Room RN while also going back to school to get my bachelors degree in nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College. As my career in nursing progressed I found that I really had a passion for acute critical care. I decided after about 5 years as a staff nurse that I would further my education and become a CRNA.

I graduated from The Frank J. Tornetta School of Nurse Anesthesia and LaSalle University in 2004 with a Masters in Nurse Anesthesia.

I came to Fox Chase in 2010 after providing anesthesia at a large level one trauma center in the Philadelphia Area. I found very quickly that the Anesthesia Department at Fox Chase enabled me to practice anesthesia the way I had always wanted. As a member of the anesthesia team I am able to tailor my anesthetics to my patients specific needs, both surgical and medical. We have a unique relationship with our patients at Fox Chase, one that can only be understood by taking care of the oncologic patient.

All of our patients here at Fox Chase inspire me. I have found that they can look adversity in the face and fight like none other. I am honored to be a part of their journey and for that I am truly grateful.

Professionally I focus on providing comprehensive anesthesia care to surgical patients as well as acute and chronic pain management. I also have a passion for the advancement of the profession of Nurse Anesthesia. As a clinical instructor for The University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University schools of Nurse Anesthesia I am able to achieve that goal. I have also committed my time to the health and wellbeing of CRNA’s by volunteering as a Peer Assistance Advisor.
