The Genomics Facility provides cost-effective, high-quality genomic and epigenetic services and expertise for Cancer Center members. The Research Cytogenetics and Chromosome Microarray Analysis Unit assists in karyotyping, molecular cytogenetic analysis and chromosome microarray analysis. The Expression Microarray and NextGen Sequencing Unit provides microarray platforms for gene and microRNA (miRNA) expression analysis and NextGen sequencing (NGS) solutions for cancer research. The Genotyping & Real Time PCR Unit provides platforms and expertise for targeted DNA and RNA analyses (including quality control, SNP analysis, quantitation of gene expression, quantitative analysis of alternative spliced transcripts, validation of the effectiveness of siRNA transcription silencing, CpG methylation analysis, and preparation of samples for Sanger sequencing by Genewiz and HLA genotyping).
The Cytogenetics and Chromosome Microarray Analysis Core provides classical cytogenetics and molecular cytogenetics services, such as mFISH, as well as high-resolution DNA copy number analysis for the detection of genomic imbalances, including chromosomal deletions and amplifications.
The Expression Microarray and NextGen Sequencing Unit provides investigators with gene expression analysis solutions for cancer research. The basic services of this unit include microarray experimental design, RNA sample labeling, hybridization and scanning.
The Genotyping and Real-Time PCR Core provides various platforms and expertise for genome-wide and targeted DNA and RNA analyses, as well as quantitative real-time PCR services.
