Chief Financial Officer

Ray Lynch directs the financial operations of Fox Chase Cancer Center, designing and executing strategic financial plans and initiatives to position the Center for continued achievement of the clinical, research, and academic goals. This includes capitalizing on new business opportunities, growing inpatient and outpatient volumes, and building on the Center’s overall financial strength.

In addition, Lynch analyzes and executes financial policies in support of Fox Chase’s larger strategic vision.

Lynch joined Fox Chase from Huntsman Cancer Hospital (HCH) in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he served for 13 years as Executive Director. HCH is the clinical arm of the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center and member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). As senior administrative leader, he oversaw operations, safety and quality, finance, and strategic and programmatic planning.

Earlier in his career, Lynch held the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Cancer Therapy & Research Center (CTRC) in San Antonio, Texas, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center with a unique academic/community model. He also served as its first Chief Financial Officer earlier in his tenure there.

Lynch earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He serves as Treasurer of the NCCN Foundation Board of Directors and has served as a member of the Executive, Governance, and Finance committees of the NCCN Board of Directors.

A seasoned finance professional with significant operations experience, Lynch offers a unique mix of expertise that enriches the institution’s vision and progress. Equally important, he understands the special demands of protecting and advancing the financial interests of an NCI-designated institution.
