Sanjeevani Arora Receives Yale Head and Neck SPORE Career Enhancement Program Award

PHILADELPHIA (July 7, 2021) - Sanjeevani Arora, PhD, assistant professor in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has received the Yale Head and Neck Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) Career Enhancement Program (CEP) Award. Arora will receive a one-year grant of $50,000 and eligibility for a second year of funding.

Muscle-Invasive Bladder Cancer Patients Can Receive Chemotherapy, Even With Blocked Kidneys, Study Finds

PHILADELPHIA (June 22, 2021)—A new study by researchers at Fox Chase Cancer Center found that patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer can safely receive chemotherapy, even when their tumors are blocking their kidneys. The findings mean that patients with the most serious form of this common cancer can receive potentially life-extending treatment, usually without the need for additional invasive procedures.
