Treatment Philosophy
For many patients, radiologists are “behind the scenes” doctors. You may read our name on the bottom of a CT scan or MRI report but have never met us. Others may meet us as we perform an image-guided biopsy using our CT, MRI or ultrasound machines. Even though you may not be able to put a face to our names, we are very much involved in your care at Fox Chase.
One of the things I love most about oncologic imaging is the collaborative nature of the work. Oncologic radiologists work closely with oncologists, surgeons and pathologists to make sure that we correctly diagnose and stage cancer. We need to be aware of all of the therapies you are receiving, as sometimes a change in your scan from one study to the next may be related to a medication you are on or a therapy you have received, rather than progression of disease.
I think it is a privilege to work with the other talented physicians at Fox Chase, and I am glad to be a part of your care team.
