Treatment Philosophy

I am thrilled to join the excellent team of physicians and staff who make Fox Chase Cancer Center an exceptional place for cutting-edge cancer treatment. As a “therapeutic endoscopist” I have a background in general Gastroenterology and Hepatology with additional training in advanced endoscopic procedures like EUS, ERCP, stent placement, treatment of bleeding and balloon enteroscopy. My goal is to diagnose, treat, and palliate a broad spectrum of conditions that can be managed endoscopically and in a minimally invasive way. I endeavor to provide the kind of innovative, and compassionate care that I would want for my own loved ones. Furthermore, I believe that multidisciplinary collaboration can make a big difference in the quality and safety of patient care, and I work closely with the patient’s entire treatment team including: primary care and referring physicians, Interventional Radiologists, Surgical, Medical and Radiation Oncologists.

My patients are often facing very difficult situations, coping with chronic conditions, new diagnoses, or the intimidation of procedures. In each interaction I strive to provide reassurance, enhance understanding about their medical conditions, maintain a focus on quality of life, and offer procedural plans that are comprehensive and personalized. I encourage the involvement of patients’ families and am humbled to be included in the care of such extraordinary people.
