Treatment Philosophy

I am a clinical psychologist, specializing in health and geriatric psychology, and integrating mental health care within interdisciplinary teams. Prior to joining FCCC, I practiced at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, and developed expertise in treatment of trauma, grief, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, and the psychosocial impact of serious illness on patients, family, and caregivers. My treatment philosophy focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centered psychotherapy to assist patients in building their skills and helping them find their resilience as well as processing challenging emotions. I work to empower patients to be active members of their treatment team, and strive to honor every person’s preferences and backgrounds.
