Esophagectomy Support Group, February

7:00pm

The Esophagectomy support group meets every fourth Monday of each month. Men and women diagnosed with esophageal cancer who are considering surgery or who have had surgery are invited to attend a monthly support group sponsored by Fox Chase Cancer Center.

This group, designed for esophagectomy patients, helps people learn about the procedure and share their experiences with others. The group is made up of newly diagnosed patients, those currently undergoing treatment, and those who are post-treatment patients who share successful ways of coping.

Kicks for Cancer

Every year, up to 20 teams of high school students, teachers, and community members come together in the Abington Friends School gym to play soccer in Ray Furlong's memory and raise money and awareness for melanoma prevention.

Breast Cancer Support Group, March

5:30pm to 7:00pm

This is an open-ended support group for any woman with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Women can join at any time during or after treatment for support, information and sharing. To register for the March 3rd session, or for more information, call Denise Young, MS, LSW, at 215-728-2670.
