The Gynecologic Cancer Support Group is relaunching with a free educational event for patients impacted by gynecologic cancers. Glenne Fletcher, RN, BSN, Med, a clinical sexologist and sexuality educator and counselor, will be speaking on sexuality and intimacy during and after gynecological cancer. In her work, Ms. Fletcher regularly assists people with sexual-based issues and relationship concerns related to sexual dysfunction. Refreshments are provided. Registration is from 6:30-7 p.m.; program begins at 7 p.m.
Laryngectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the larynx (voice box), often because of cancer. “The Speakeezy Club of Delaware Valley” is a Laryngectomy support group that provides information, education, and psychosocial support to patients and their families. Support is provided by a social worker and a speech-language pathologist.
