A team from Fox Chase Cancer Center will take part in the Philadelphia leg of the 6th Annual Your Next Step is the Cure National 5K Walk/Run Series, hosted by the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation. The event, which is co-chaired by Fox Chase medical oncologist Jessica Bauman, MD, brings together people of all ages who want to help raise public awareness for lung cancer, a disease that takes more lives annually than the other top five cancer killers combined. This family-friendly race is open to all. Our Your Next Step is the Cure events raise much-needed funds for the patient services and clinical research projects of the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, while also providing fun, family-friendly activities, including a kids' dash, music, 5K event awards and more. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
