Community Education and Outreach

Community Education

Community Education

Fox Chase’s Community Outreach program involves the community in a variety of ways. We partner with community organizations, religious institutions and health ministries in the Philadelphia area to bring cancer education, prevention and screening programs to the community. These partnerships enhance the opportunity to reach a large community audience where our trained staff can provide programs tailored to the specific needs of each partner or organization. Working together with the community, we can increase cancer awareness, encourage participation in cancer screenings and clinical trials, and improve access to the best cancer treatment.

Cancer Screening Program

mammography van

If your agency, organization or company is interested in partnering with or supporting our program, please contact us today at 215-728-3110 or here.

Fox Chase Cancer Center has comprehensive screening programs for breast, prostate, and skin cancer.

Our mobile mammography van is the only one with digital mammography in the Philadelphia region. Our staff is based out of Fox Chase Cancer Center and all equipment is licensed by the Food and Drug Administration and is accredited by the American College of Radiology. For women 40 and older, an exam can be completed in ten minutes.

Each year we screen more than 4,500 women reaching those who might not otherwise take time to screen for cancer. We partner with many organizations, religious institutions, support groups, corporations, senior living sites and health clinics. These partnerships help to reach a large audience where trained staff can provide screening and educational programs.
