Jo Ann Chalal, MD

Dr. Jo Ann Chalal has joined Fox Chase's Department of Radiation Oncology. She treats patients with prostate and other urologic cancers, including bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. Chalal also has expertise in using the CyberKnife to treat various types of cancers as well as high-dose-rate brachytherapy for breast and gynecologic cancers.
Before coming to Fox Chase, she was medical director of the Robert J. Moonan Radiation Oncology Center at St. Francis Medical Center's Regional Cancer Center in Trenton, N.J. She also served as president and medical director of her own clinical practice, Regional Radiation Oncology, P.A., in Trenton, NJ. Chalal earned her M.D. at Temple University School of Medicine, and completed a fellowship in hematology-oncology at New York University Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital, and Veterans Administration Manhattan, in New York, NY. In addition to seeing patients at Fox Chase, she will provide radiation oncology services at Urology Health Specialists in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
