Donna Ward, MSN, CRNP

In September 2008, I joined the team at Fox Chase Cancer Center as one of the nurse practitioners in the Intensive Care Unit. Including nurse practitioners as an integral part of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff is just one way Fox Chase is demonstrating its commitment to improved patient care.
In this role, we collaborate with the ICU attending physicians and assist in communication between the ICU team and the primary service of record. We have a hands-on role as members of a team that manages critically ill patients.
My experience in cardiology, critical care, and medicine as both a registered nurse and nurse practitioner enables me to make significant contributions to the care of ICU patients and families.
