The Women's Cancer Center brings together Fox Chase surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists who specialize in breast and gynecologic cancers.

Robert Burger, MD, is the Director of the Women’s Cancer Center. As Director, Dr. Burger coordinates the operations of the Center, merging the outstanding breast and gynecologic cancer teams.

• Breast Cancer Team
  Fox Chase Cancer Center offers the most advanced treatment options for breast cancer. During a one-day visit to our Breast Evaluation Center, newly diagnosed breast cancer patients will meet your entire team of specialists who will develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored especially for you. This team includes medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, social workers, oncology nurses, genetic counselors, physical therapists, radiologists and health educators.
  
  Women who become part of the Center's Breast Cancer treatment are offered individualized, compassionate care and the assistance of nurse navigators, assisting with the details of the patient experience.
  
  Massimo Cristofanilli, MD, FACP, runs the Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) program, bringing his considerable experience on this frequently misdiagnosed condition.
  
  They have more experience treating women with breast cancer than anywhere else in the region. In addition to treating your disease, they conduct clinical research focused on breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
  
  If a breast exam uncovers a non-cancerous abnormality, the Women's Cancer Center can treat that as well.
• Gynecologic Cancer Team
  Fox Chase Cancer Center is home to the nation's top doctors who treat women diagnosed with gynecological cancers. Our multispecialty team offers screening and counseling as well as state-of-the-art treatment.
• Diagnostic Imaging
  Unlike freestanding diagnostic imaging centers, our radiologists work closely with surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists as part of a multispecialty cancer treatment center team. Together, these doctors — all experts in their fields — give you a "big picture" view of your cancer and how to treat it. This happens all right here at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
