Halfball Tournament To Raise Money for Fox Chase Cancer Center
PHILADELPHIA (March 27, 2002) - Fox Chase Cancer Center will hold its first Halfball Tournament on Saturday, April 27 (rain date April 28) at the Fox Chase Cancer Center facilities located at 100 Laurel Avenue in Cheltenham. Events begin at 9:00 a.m. Spectators are invited to attend and are asked to make a donation at the door.
Twenty-four teams will compete for the tournament title. An exhibition match-up will feature Flyers alumni versus former 76'ers and Eagles greats. The event will include clowns, raffle prizes and music including performances by the Sounds of Liberty Harmony Chorus, a 30 member barbershop chorus.
Proceeds benefit the Bucks County Chapter of the Board of Associates of Fox Chase Cancer Center for cancer research and prevention. For more information, call the Board of Associates at 215-728-2441.
