Fox Chase Cancer Center's Susan J. Niskey Named Fellow in American College of Healthcare Executives

PHILADELPHIA (May 31, 2001) -- Susan J. Niskey, of Landsdale, Pa., Associate Administrator of Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, Pa., has advanced to Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an international professional society representing nearly 30,000 healthcare executives.

Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in ACHE, and at present, approximately 3,000 healthcare executives in the nation have earned fellow status. With comprehensive programs in credentialing, education, career development, publications, research, and public policy, ACHE works towards its goal of improving the health status of society by advancing healthcare leadership and management excellence.

To obtain Fellow status, affiliates must demonstrate their education, experience, and leadership in the healthcare field over a period of several years.� They must also complete a significant project on a subject related to healthcare management.

The announcement of Niskey's advancement was made at ACHE's 67th annual Convocation ceremony during the ACHE's 2001 Congress on Healthcare Management.� Ceremonies in Chicago marked the 68th anniversary of the organization, which was founded in 1933.

Niskey has been with Fox Chase Cancer Center for more than 5 years.� Currently, she oversees the administrative duties of the Center's Institutional Review Board, the Fox Chase medical office located in Bryn Mawr, strategic planning and the Fox Chase-Temple Affiliation.
