Fox Chase Cancer Center is fortunate to have a network of individuals, businesses, corporations and organizations who give their time and talent to host events in their community to support Fox Chase.  These partnerships allow us to continue our life-saving work by funding innovative research projects and helping to advance cancer treatment. 

  • Mother-Daughter team Bern and Kara Leibensperger hiked the Appalachian Trail for nine days raising money for Fox Chase Cancer Center. They pursued this adventure to honor the memory of Bern’s sister-in-law, Janet Plasha, who passed away during her battle with lung cancer. In addition to this inspirational tribute, the money they raised benefits research of lung cancer in never smokers.

  • The Comly family holds fundraisers throughout the year to benefit Fox Chase, including a designer bag and power tool bingo, in honor of their father, Jay, who was treated by Alexander Kutikov, MD, FACS, for kidney cancer. All of their efforts lead up to the American Cancer Society Bike-A-Thon: Bridge to Beach each summer when members of the family ride alongside Jay to celebrate his victory over cancer.

  • While the Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival raises money for many noble causes, multiple teams have committed their fundraising efforts to Fox Chase’s mission over the years, including West Pharmaceutical Services’ WestDragonPhyre team.

  • Hosted by the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Brigid McCrory Division 25, this volleyball tournament raises money for breast cancer research in memory of JoAnne Duffy.

  • This day-long kickball tournament in Philadelphia raises funds for Fox Chase Cancer Center and often features multiple Fox Chase teams! They have raised over $250,000.

  • One of many inspiring events hosted by the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund, this event gives attendees the opportunity to walk the “pink” carpet and laugh the night away while raising funds for breast cancer research in memory of Eileen Stein Jacoby. Through all of their efforts, the group has raised over $2 million for Fox Chase.
